Chicago weather has finally taken a turn (for now anyways!) and that means that you’ve probably noticed more people outside walking their dogs, going for a run, riding bikes or playing Frisbee in the park. If you’ve spent the winter on a treadmill at the gym or hibernating on your couch, this warm weather and longer days create a great opportunity to get outside to exercise without it feeling like work. Here are five suggestions that you can do that will be fun (I promise!)
Enjoy the Lakefront
Go for a leisurely bike ride or run – enjoy the views (just watch out for the pedestrians)
Namaste in the Park
Find an outdoors yoga class (Starts May 26th) http://yogarocksthepark.com/chicago-schedule/
Reconnect with Friends
Go for a walk with a friend instead of meeting up at the bar
Enlist your Pets
Bring your dog or borrow a friend's, go to the dog park and play catch. Meet some new two-legged and four-legged friends.
Join a Boot Camp
You will meet new people, get a great work out and get to enjoy nature. Join me at Palmer Square Park in Logan Square Mondays & Wednesdays at 6:15pm (First 2 classes are free).
